A compulsive video enthusiast, he knows every move recorded on tape or pixels over the past 30 years. He’s a modern guardian of the old school, blending the future with the past, and vice versa. Drawn to hot-dog skiing, he’s part of an elite club of snow ninjas who keep the style alive with a contemporary, even avant-garde, twist.

In an era of rapid-fire videos and quickly digested stories, Anttu saves his best tricks for parts that drop in the fall, never revealing too much on social media so as not to spoil his innovations. He’s a dedicated and meticulous freestyler, with a deep knowledge of the classics, which he refines on the small slopes of his native Finland. Working in a shop in Ruka, he can ski at night until December, before migrating to the Alps, where he brings his freestyle DNA into everything he does on skis, including touring, with an explosive and unique style.
