biographie
Originally from Chamonix, Virgile followed the path of speed, first with the ski club until he was 17, then in the FIS circuit, before branching out into freeride competition. Coming from a family that looked after mountain refuges, work is part of everyday life. As a carpenter, when he's not helping out at the family refuge, the summer seasons are timed so that he can devote his winters to skiing. Virgile is focused on his objectives, and has never slackened his physical and mental preparation since his FIS days, training all year round. His determination was rewarded with victory in the Freeride World Qualifier 2023-2024, which enabled him to join the Freeride World Tour and represent Chamonix and blackcrows in the World Championships. Whatever the results in the future, armed with his Corvus V, which he played a major part in developing with Julien Regnier, this instinctive, super-powerful skier is sure to be a force to be reckoned with.
